Tevin Sinclair allegedly caught in possession of sword and Japanese fighting knife at Dartford station

A train passenger who was allegedly caught in possession of a sword and a Japanese fighting knife has appeared in court.

Tevin Sinclair, 23, was not asked to enter pleas after his lawyer said he first wanted to view CCTV footage of the incident at Dartford station.

He is accused of possessing an offensive weapon, threatening a person with a weapon in a public place and affray.

Armed police were called to the station on January 18 following reports of an incident on a train at Greenhithe.

Officers were seen on the platform carrying a long blade as a man was led away.

Sinclair, of Slagrove Place, Ladywell, south east London, appeared at Maidstone Crown Court by TV link with Elmley Prison.

His parents sat in court during the brief hearing on Friday.

A bail application was refused on February 12.

He will be produced at court on March 8 to enter pleas.
