Vince Parmenter charged with South Darenth armed robbery

A man has been charged in relation to a knifepoint robbery at a supermarket.

It comes after four men entered Co-Op, in Station Road, South Darenth, on December 28 and threatened staff with knives, before fleeing in a car.

Cash and cigarettes were stolen during the raid.

Medway Magistrates Court, Rope Walk, Chatham

Vince Parmenter was arrested on Wednesday and later charged with robbery and threatening a person with a bladed article in a public place.

The 24-year-old, of Pynham Close, Abbey Wood, appeared before Medway Magistrates’ Court yesterday and was remanded in custody, until his next hearing is scheduled.
