A man has been charged after a woman and a police officer were attacked in Swanley.

Ian Wilson, 32, of Hart Dyke Road, Swanley was arrested and charged with assaulting a police constable, assault by beating and criminal damage.

The incident happened in Hart Dyke Road at around 4.30pm on Friday.

Police received reports a woman had been punched and a car damaged.

When they attended the scene it's alleged Ian Wilson struck an officer in the face.

He was remanded into custody and will appear at Medway Magistrates’ Court today.
