Det Con Chris Mason, the officer investigating the incident said: “This was a nasty assault that meant the victim remaining in hospital overnight. I would urge anyone who saw an incident involving a man in his 20s to contact the police.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact DC Mason at North Kent Police on 01474 565167 quoting reference 24750 or Kent Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 – calls to this number are free and you may be eligible for a reward.
