When crews arrived one man was out of his car and receiving first aid but another man was trapped in his Vauxhall Corsa.

They cut the roof and released the man from his car using a long board before transferring him to the care of paramedics.

He remained fully conscious but was taken to hospital with suspected spinal injuries.
