Man taken to hospital after crashing into bridge near Farningham railway station

A man has been taken to hospital after crashing his car into a bridge.

Police, firefighters, paramedics in two ambulances and a car, and the air ambulance were called to Station Road in Farningham just before 2am.

The vehicle had ploughed into a bridge just outside Farningham railway station, leaving the man, aged in his 20s, trapped.

No other cars are thought to have been involved.

Firefighters used hydraulic cutting gear to remove the roof of the car and free the man.

He was then handed over to paramedics and taken to King's College Hospital in London hospital with head and leg injuries.

The road was closed in the aftermath, but has now reopened.
