Man in hospital after M25 crash between Swanley interchange and Darenth

A man has been cut free from his car and taken to hospital following a serious crash this afternoon.

Firefighters were called at just after 1pm to a two-car crash on the M25 anticlockwise.

It happened between junctions one and three, the Swanley interchange and the Darenth turn off.

Several vehicles were involved in the crash on the M25

Ambulance crews took the man, believed to be in his 40s, to the Princess Royal Hospital in Farnborough.

He was suffering neck and leg pains.

All lanes have reopened, but severe congestion is expected to stretch back to Orpington.
