Police have arrested and bailed two men after cannabis was found in the back of a lorry, disguised as rabbit hay.

Officers pulled over the white Scania HGV near the Dartford crossing last month.

On looking in the back of the vehicle they found a number of pallets loaded with what appeared to be rabbit hay. A closer inspection revealed the packages contained cannabis.

A 31-year-old Benfleet man and a 55-year-old Dartford man have been bailed while inquiries continue.

The will return to the police station to answer bail on September 7.
