Fire crews were called to a house in Stone after a microwave caught light.

It happened yesterday evening (September 13) at a home on Winston Close at about 8pm.

The crew from Dartford found the fire had been caused after vents on top of the microwave were covered while it was being used.

Flames came out of the vents leaving smoke damage to the kitchen and an inoperable microwave.
