A GRIEVING family is trying to come to terms with the death of a much-loved son and brother who died in a moped accident in Dartford.

Barat Ahmadzai, 23, originally from Afghanistan, had been living in the town for just three weeks before his death. He had worked for Pizza Go Go in East Hill for just one week.

He had been delivering a pizza on one of the shop’s mopeds when he was involved in a collision with a Mini at the junction of Westgate Road and Hythe Street, Dartford, just after about 10.30pm on Friday.

Gul Jasim Rahimi, owner of Pizza Go Go, said Barat Ahmadzai had been staying with his family. He added: “He was a very nice person, very sincere, a jolly person. He was one of six brothers and he was a much-loved son.

Barat Ahmadzai’s parents live in Pakistan, having moved across the border from Afghanistan. They do not know of their son’s death and will only be told when his body can be flown home.

His younger brother Barat Isakhel,22, flew to Britain from Germany after being told the news. He said both family and friends were goief-stricken and trying to come to terms with their loss.
