Dartford rider killed in crash with Ford Fusion van on A21 in Whatlington, East Sussex

A 49-year-old Kent motorcyclist has been killed in a crash on the A21 in East Sussex.

The rider, who has not been named but is from Dartford, died yesterday after the accident with a Ford Fusion van on the busy road in Whatlington.

Sgt Dan Pitcher, of Sussex Police, said: "Paramedics attended to the man who sadly died at the scene.

"Officers would like to thank motorists for their understanding and patience while the road was closed for several hours as they investigated the circumstances."

Anyone who saw the crash, or the moments beforehand, is asked to contact police on 101 or email collision.appeal@sussex.pnn.police.uk quoting Operation Glaven.
