Traffic stopped on A2 after multi-vehicle collision

A multi-vehicle collision is causing delays on the motorway.

Traffic has now been stopped on the A2 eastbound between the B262 and A227 near Bean.

Drivers are told to expect up to a 40 minute delay.

Traffic has been stopped on the A2.

Traffic officers from Highways England are heading to the scene to assist.

Police spokesman James Walker said: "Police were called to a three vehicle collision on the A2 Londonbound, near the A227, at 9.17am.

"Officers are currently in attendance and all of the involved vehicles have been moved to the hard shoulder."

No serious injuries have been reported.
