Three teenagers have been arrested after a video of an attack on a 15-year-old girl was posted on Facebook.

The victim is reported to have suffered a black eye following the alleged assault in Hesketh Park, Dartford, on July 11.

A police spokeswoman said: "Detectives investigating an assault in Dartford have arrested three teenage girls.

"It is alleged that a 15-year-old girl was assaulted. The girl is reported to have suffered a black eye.

"There has been substantial media interest in the case as a video of the alleged incident has been posted and shared on social networking sites.

"Two 16-year-old girls were arrested this afternoon on suspicion of assault. A 15-year-old was also arrested on suspicion of aiding and abetting an assault.

"They are all currently in police custody awaiting interview."

The 10-second clip was shared more than 300 times after it was posted on Facebook.
