HOPES that the mysterious Piano Man, who is being cared for at a Dartford Hospital, may have been a Czech musician have been dashed.

Earlier this week it was believed he may have been rock musician Tomas Strnad, based on reports coming in from former band members in Prague.

Officials ion England believed the information was a "significant" breakthrough into the riddle of the young man who has not spoken a word since he was found on a Sheppey beach in April - soaked in an expensive dinner suit with all the labels cut out.

But the real Mr Strnad has now appeared on Czech TV news, saying: "It's not me, it is somebody else."
