Three men have been arrested after police followed their noses and discovered cannabis being cultivated in Longfield.

On Sunday, July 28, officers on patrol caught a smell of cannabis in the area of Fawkham Road, Longfield.

Investigating further, officers located the house and discovered around 35 cannabis plants at various stages of cultivation.

Further searches of the premises also uncovered a suspected stolen vehicle, various vehicle parts and a lawnmower.

Three men, aged 21, 43 and 46 were arrested at the scene on suspicion of cultivating cannabis.

They remain in police custody for questioning.

Detective Constable Adrian Grew said: "Cannabis has a very strong odour, and officers simply used their noses to find the source of the smell.

"As a result we have not only taken a lot of cannabis out of circulation, but have also seized a suspected stolen vehicle and any offending linked to that vehicle will now be investigated too."
