Southeastern has announced parking charges at Dartford station are going down this week following a review.

Just as Darent Valley Hospital was putting its charges up, Southeastern declared that it was lowering the cost of Sunday and Bank Holiday parking at Dartford to just £1.

The new tariff will be introduced from Sunday. It means drivers at Dartford will save 80% on the previous fee of £5.

A blanket fee of £1.50 has been introduced from today for parking after 6pm from Monday-Saturday in any Southeastern operated car park, other than high speed stations.

The announcement follows a review of car park charges by the train operating company in response to customer feedback.
