A 17-year-old boy had his off-road motorcycle stolen by another boy who approached him to ask about the machine.

The victim was pushing his blue Fronster 120cc, which is worth around £900, towards the roundabout across grassland in University Way, Dartford, when two boys walked up to him.

One of the boys asked him about the bike, pushing his arms away from the machine as he did so. The offender then grabbed the bike and rode it away, followed by the second boy.

The boy who stole the bike is described as white, aged about 15, 5ft 8in tall and of slim build.

He was wearing light blue motorbike clothes and boots and police say it is "likely that the boys had attended a local organised motorbike event that was being held that day at a track just off University Way."

The second boy was riding an off-road bike.

Anyone with information about the robbery, which took place on Sunday, July 9 at 3.15pm is asked to contact police on 01474 565222 or Kent Crimsetoppers on 0800 555111.
