Met police find Dartford medical facility patient Leonardo Bokesa

A "dangerous" man who absconded while on escorted leave from a secure medical facility in Dartford has been found.

Leonardo Bokesa disappeared at 12.30pm on Friday at the Broadway, Bexleyheath.

Officers issued an appeal to find the 54-year-old, who they said suffered from paranoid schizophrenia and did not have his medication with him.

Today, police confirmed he had been found.

A spokesman said: "Police in Bexley have traced a man who absconded while on escorted leave from a secure medical facility in Dartford.

"Leonardo Bokesa, 54, has now been returned to a secure hospital.

"We thank media and the public for assistance with appeals."
