Police has released an image of a pocket watch they would like to return to its owner after it was found during the search of a house.

The watch is described as having a chrome casing with a white face and black Roman numerals.

Officers were investigating a burglary when they searched the home of a suspect in Dartford and found the pocket watch.

Detective Constable Steven Brown, who is the investigating officer for the burglary, said: “This watch did not belong to the suspect and I would like to reunite it with its rightful owner so if anyone does recognise it please do get in touch.

“It is quite unique on the back so I would fully expect anyone claiming it to be theirs to know what the back looks like in order to verify it is genuinely theirs.”

Anyone with information can call Kent Police appeals line on 01474 366 149 quoting crime reference XY/000224/18.
