Pupils evacuated in gas leak

A GAS leak in a Dartford school has led to more than 100 pupils being evacuated.

Leigh City Technology College on Green Street Green Road, reported a leak at around 7.30am this morning from the science block.

The leak resulted from a faulty fridge.

Students had not arrived at the time and all lessons are now going ahead as normal in safe areas of the school.

Year 8, which consists of 126 students, had to be evacuated to Dartford’s “Goals” centre.

Dartford fire brigade and police were at the scene.
