Former partner Ben Lacomba who was arrested over disappearance of Sarah Wellgreen has been bailed again until the New Year

The man who was arrested in connection with the disappearance of a mother-of-five who went missing from her home almost six weeks ago, has had his bailed extended by police.

Sarah Wellgreen, 46, was last seen in the Bazes Shaw area of New Ash Green on Tuesday, October 9 and several days after her disappearance, police arrested her former partner, Ben Lacomba.

He was arrested on Tuesday, October 16 and questioned for three days over her disappearance and was later bailed until today by detectives.

Miss Wellgreen left her car at home during the evening and earlier today her son, Lewis Burdett, 22, spoken out to thank volunteers who have helped search for her and said he and his family have lived a "never ending nightmare" the last month or so since she disappeared.

Police are treating her disappearance as a murder inquiry and have searched thousands of acres of woodland in a bid to trace her.

Miss Wellgreen, who is of medium build and has straight brown hair and is about 5ft 7ins tall and has green eyes.

Officers are continuing to search for Miss Wellgreen.

Mr Lacomba, 38, has now been bailed until Wednesday, January 16.

Anyone with information about Miss Wellgreen's disappearance is asked to call Kent Police on 101 quoting 11-0423.
