Bluewater evacuated after reports of a fire in a restaurant

Bluewater shopping centre was evacuated after a fire broke out.

The fire brigade was called after a blaze started in one of the restaurants.

Pictures have emerged showing emergency crews arriving at the scene.

People have been told to leave the shopping centre

Our reporter at the scene said two fire engines arrived along with more emergency vehicles.

Only the food court and The Entertainer toy shop were evacuated.

People were allowed to enter and leave through the entrance for Marks & Spencer.

Bluewater has been evacuated after a fire started in a restaurant

A spokesman for Bluewater confirmed it was a small fire in a restaurant and a temporary evacuation had been put in place in the Winter Gardens.

They said: "There was a small oven fire at Square Pie which resulted in the Winter Garden being temporarily evacuated.

"Kent Fire & Rescue have now dealt with the fire and all areas are now open as usual."
