Police and sniffer dogs respond to report of suspicious behaviour and arrest man in Greenhithe

A man has been arrested after a report of suspicious behaviour in Greenhithe.

Kent Police was called at midnight on the morning of Friday, July 1, to a report of two men running away from a vehicle in the Cowley Avenue area after being disturbed by a member of public.

Officers attended and used sniffer dogs to search for the men.

A 19-year-old local man was arrested on suspicion of attempted theft in an area of scrubland off Station Road, and remains in custody.
