Multi-vehicle crash on the London-bound carriageway near Bean is causing delays for motorists

A crash between two lorries, several cars and a transporter is causing delays on the A2 at Bean this morning.

The smash happened earlier this morning on the London bound carriageway at Watling Street, near the A296 Bean Interchange for Bluewater.

It is not thought anyone has been seriously injured during the multi-vehicle crash, but the road is partially blocked and traffic is queuing back to the Ebbsfeet turn-off.

James Walker, spokesman for police said: "Kent Police was called to a multi-vehicle collision at 10.18am.

"The incident is reported to involve two lorries, a car transporter and four cars.

"No injuries have been reported and all cars have been cleared from the carriageway.

"A temporary speed limit is currently in place."
