Pair arrested on suspicion of theft after failing to stop for officers in Heath Lane, Dartford

Two men are in police custody after officers used a stinger device to stop a suspicious vehicle.

The Ford Focus failed to stop in Heath Lane, Dartford, last night and officers chased it to the Rock Hill area of Orpington.

It came to a standstill after its tyres were blown when it was driven over the stinger, which had been placed on the road.

The men, a 28-year-old from Dartford and a 19-year-old from Rochester, were arrested on suspicion of theft
