Three Dartford taxi drivers assaulted in one night

A Dartford taxi driver needed hospital treatment after being assaulted in an argument over a fare.

According to police he was one of three drivers assaulted on the same night in the town.

The first was attacked after picking up two men in Dartford Road at about 11.30pm last Monday.

The second two taxi drivers were assaulted at Dartford Railway Station at about midnight on the same night.

They were approached by two men who again had an argument about a fare.

One victim was kicked around the head and body and had to stay in hospital overnight. The other received cuts and bruises to his face.

Police are keen to speak to anyone who may have seen the pair walking around the town centre or the railway station.

Two men aged 17 and 25 were arrested on Tuesday in connection with the assaults, and were being questioned at North Kent Police Station.
