THIS greyhound will not be in the doghouse when she walks out as Dartford Football Club’s mascot.

It is hoped the racing greyhound, called Walk the Line, will bring the Darts some speedy success when she appears at the football stadium in Darenth Road, this Saturday.

The winner of the 2007 Ladbroke Golden Jacket final and holder of Crayford Greyhound Track’s Greyhound of the Year, she will act as mascot for the football club when they play at home to Ilford.

Nicola Collett, Dartford Football Club general manager, said: “We have a brand-new family enclosure opening on the day so it’s rather fitting that we have such an auspicious guest.

“I would like to take this opportunity to say thank you to Coniston Ltd for their generous sponsorship for this fabulous addition to our new stadium.”

Diana Illingworth, the track’s marketing manager, said: “This is a first for one of the sport’s leading stars to make an appearance at a venue outside of the usual greyhound stadia environment.”
