All traffic was held due to a police incident on the M20 near Dartford.

Vehicles travelling coastbound on the motorway from junction 1 of the M20 to junction 3 of the M25 for the Swanley Interchange and junction 3 on the M26 were stopped.

The incident was reported at around 8.40pm. All lanes had reopened by 9.10pm.

There was also disruption to train travel this evening due to a reported shopping trolley on the track.

Police have been contacted for comment on the M20 closure.
