A group of travellers have set up their vehicles on a field on a hospital site this afternoon.

The group turned up earlier today and began setting their caravans on a field near Darent Valley Hospital, in Darenth Wood Road, Dartford.

It is thought they gained entry to the field by cutting through a fence.

A police spokesman confirmed the travellers' arrival: "Kent Police was called at 1.42pm on 17 August 2018 to a report of a traveller incursion near Gore Road, Dartford.
