Two men arrested over a suspected aggravated burglary in Horton Kirby in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Two men have been arrested on suspicion of aggravated burglary.

A 22-year-old and a 24-year-old, both from Dartford, were arrested in the early hours of this morning.

Police were called just after midnight to reports a quantity of cigarettes had been stolen from a store on St Johns Hill, Sevenoaks.

The perpetrators allegedly forced entry into the shop before making off with the stolen goods.

The pair were found and arrested near Horton Kirby before being taken into police custody.

It is believed the alleged getaway vehicle, a VW Golf, overheated.
