Volunteers search for missing elderly man from Dartford who went missing from Darent Valley Hospital

Groups of people will be searching north Kent today to find a missing man last seen at Darent Valley Hospital.

Alan Willoughby, from Dartford, was spotted on CCTV leaving the site in Darenth Wood Road, Dartford, at about 8.30am on Tuesday.

Volunteers who are willing to brave the stormy conditions and help find the missing 65-year-old are being asked to meet at 68 Darenth Park Avenue between 9.30am and 10am.

Alan's family friend Elisha Bardoe has organised the search to help find him.

She said: "I would like to appeal for as many people as possible to help me today as I am going to be parking at the Darenth country park and starting to search just outside the park.

"I will be starting from 9.30am so if you would like to help we would really appreciate any extra eyes.

"Please remember to wrap up warm warm with boots etcetera and bring a drink and something to eat."

Alan is a 6ft tall white man with a bald head and glasses. He was last seen wearing a black anorak with grey shoulders and a grey hood, a blue denim shirt with a blue T-shirt underneath, black trousers and khaki green shoes.

Elisha explained his family are worried for his safety and its thought he doesn't have his phone with him.

Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101 quoting 25-0356.
