Members of the public helped rescue a woman who was found standing on a bridge just before the Dartford Crossing.

Police were called at 12.25pm yesterday to a report of concern for a woman who was on the wrong side of the railings.

A police spokesman said: "Officers attended and the woman was on the right side of the bridge by 12.30pm.

"Members of the public assisted."
