Dina Asher-Smith broke the British 200m record at the World Athletics Championships

Dina Asher-Smith finished fifth in the 200m final at the World Athletics Championships.

The Blackheath & Bromley Harrier set a new British record of 22.07 seconds in Beijing as Dutch sensation Dafne Schippers took gold in a blistering 21.63.

Asher-Smith, 19, from Orpington, missed out on a medal by just one tenth of a second as former Olympic champion Veronica Campbell-Brown came through for bronze in 21.97.
