Dartford's players have been told to get over the disappointment of dropping two points in midweek as they gear up for another huge relegation clash.

Darts led Aldershot 1-0 with two minutes left on Tuesday night when Brett Williams scored a brilliant equaliser.

Wins elsewhere for fellow strugglers Southport and Chester have left Dartford a point and two places from safety ahead of Saturday’s fixtures.

Darts boss Tony Burman takes his side to Southport – the team immediately above the bottom four – knowing a win on Merseyside would change the picture again.

He said: "Southport are a team who are around us and it’s another tough game. We’ve got some tired legs but I expect so have Southport. It’s just what happens on the day.

"We’re disappointed that we didn’t finish off the (Aldershot) game but we have to get over that and move on. It’s another big game for us.

"There’s a little bit of a fight going on, which is good. There possibly could be one or two teams who haven’t been used to the pressure of losing games. If they start losing, they’ll get dragged into it as well.

"When players are not used to that pressure, it’s awful when you start losing games."
