Club captain Tom Bonner is considering an offer to leave Dartford - and there’s also interest in Dan Johnson.

Both players have been offered new deals by the Darts but are keeping their options open.

Joint-boss Jamie Coyle said: “They’re both good players and we really want to keep them but they’ve both got other offers on the table.

“It’s a tough one because ideally, you want them both to commit so we can start building around them but I understand how it works.

“Bonz has got a young family and DJ is still young. With DJ, it’s more thinking about where he’s going to play because he wants to play as a centre-half.

“He did well for us as a full-back last year but for his own development, he wants to concrete himself as a centre-half. It’s something we can look at in pre-season but we’re waiting for him to say yes or no to the offer we’ve given him.”

Lee Noble, Ryan Hayes, Ronnie Vint, Ben Greenhalgh, Andy Pugh and Charlie Sheringham have signed new deals while Tom Murphy, Billy Crook, Callum Driver and Mark Onyemah have been invited back for pre-season.

Coyle said: “We’ve got a core group of players we’re excited about working with again next year.

“We weren’t far away last year but there are huge improvements that still need to be made.

“There’s a number of players we’re unsure on because of fitness levels. We’ve been honest with them and they understand the situation.

“People like Crooky and Mark need to have scans and see specialists.”
