Dartford have made their first two new signings of the summer.

Joining the club are centre-back Callum McNaughton and striker George Sykes.

McNaughton, 23, started his career at West Ham and was loaned out to Bishop's Stortford and AFC Wimbledon before joining the Dons on a permanent basis in 2012.

He's since played for Kingstonian, Welling, Maldon & Tiptree and Bromley - helping Mark Goldberg's side to the Conference South title last season.

Darts boss Tony Burman said: "I am delighted that Callum has agreed terms as I had tried to sign him last season.

"I feel Callum will be a good addition to the squad and is still a good age to be part of the club for the foreseeable future."

Meanwhile, 20-year-old centre-forward Sykes came through Barnet's youth system but only played a handful of first-team games for the club during his time there.

Sykes had loan spells at Bishop's Stortford, Farnborough, St Albans and Canvey Island before eventually leaving Barnet at the end of last season.

Burman said: "George is a striker who I have watched over the last couple of years.

"I feel that he has a lot of potential and I am sure that we can bring that out in him in the forthcoming season.

"He has a great attitude for a young lad and I feel that he will be another good addition to the squad."
