Dartford boss Tony Burman described Lee Noble's goal against Hereford on Saturday as "astounding".

Noble's sublime volley from the corner of the box flew past Bulls keeper Rhys Evans after the visitors had failed to clear a Max Cornhill cross.

The goal wrapped up a 2-0 win for the Darts and it had Burman purring afterwards.

"That’s just astounding," he said. "I don’t think you’re going to see a better volley.

"It was from 30 yards and it’s flown in the corner. The keeper’s got absolutely no chance. It was a great strike."

Burman had brought Noble off the bench only four minutes earlier as a replacement for Alex Woodyard.

He said: "We felt we needed some legs in there, to change the formation a little bit, so we did that. He’s come up with a brilliant goal.

"Fair play to him because he’s been criticised quite a bit for his sending-offs and the wrong things but he came on (against Woking) on Tuesday night, scored a goal and he’s come in on Saturday and scored a wonder goal.

"I’m pleased for him."
