Dartford announced three new signings this week but Tony Burman’s summer transfer business is far from complete.

The arrival of former Gillingham goalkeeper Alan Julian on Tuesday came just a day after the Darts swooped for Chelmsford pair Kenny Clark and Max Cornhill.

Burman is waiting to hear back from two more players as he looks to build a squad capable of competing again in Conference Premier.

The arrival of Julian, meanwhile, comes three weeks after Burman released injury-hit Louis Wells.

Burman said: "We had a number of goalkeepers in different situations. Some were a little bit complicated and some wanted to wait until pre-season.

"I felt I needed to get someone in. Alan was on our list and we met a couple of times. He wanted to sign for us and when you get someone who wants to sign for the right reasons, it’s good news.

"He’s not played many games over the last couple of seasons but he wants to be No.1, he wants to be the best. His attitude will rub off on our players. He’s not coming here for the sake of it, he wants to win games and that’s what rubbed off on me."
