Dartford have unveiled the double signing of Jake Robinson and Keiran Murtagh.

Striker Robinson scored 123 goals in 161 appearances across two spells at Billericay, and previously enjoyed a prolific spell under Darts boss Steve King at Whitehawk.

The chance to work with King again was a big factor in the 34-year-old’s move to Princes Park, while he’s also excited by his new club’s promotion ambitions.

“A lot of it was playing under Steve again,” the former Brighton and Maidstone forward told Dartford TV.

“We clicked straight away at Whitehawk, we had fantastic success there.

“These relationships, you build in football, and this is why, because I’ve got another opportunity to play under him.

“On top of that, I’m coming to a fantastic project at Dartford and a team that’s been brilliant for two, almost three straight years now.

“I’m hoping to come in, add to that and if that takes it up to the next step, that’s my goal.

“It’s fantastic place to play football. It’s somewhere I’ve loved coming over the years.”

Murtagh, 32, is another big signing for Dartford.

The midfielder, who’s played international football for Antigua & Barbuda, has spent the past four seasons with Boreham Wood in the National League.

He intends to get back up there with the Darts.

“I’ve been talking to Steve for a little while now, so it’s good to get it over the line," he said.

“I’m here to try and get them up so hopefully my experience can count and we can push for the top.

“I like to get on the ball, like to use the ball and hopefully they enjoy watching me play.

“It should be a good season. Hopefully we can get on a good run and see where it takes us.”
