Dartford boss Tony Burman strengthens his squad by signing midfielder Peter Sweeney

Dartford boss Tony Burman has strengthened his squad, signing experienced midfielder Peter Sweeney.

The former Millwall trainee has previously played for Stoke City, Yeovil Town, Walsall, Leeds United, Grimsby Town, Bury and AFC Wimbledon.

Burman said: “I am delighted to have signed Peter on contract for the coming season.

“I have been speaking with him for the last couple of weeks and I feel that he is a type of player who will improve the squad.

“Peter is a very creative midfield player and with over 250 Football League appearances, his experience will be a valuable asset to the team.”
