Conference South Dartford have completed the signing of striker Andy Pugh.

The 25-year-old was a free agent after being released by Cambridge United earlier in the week, and he returns to Princes Park where he spent a month on loan last season.

Ironically Pugh did not play a home game for Dartford but he still scored twice in four outings, helping the now-relegated Darts to victories at Kidderminster and Wrexham.

Dartford boss Tony Burman said: "I am delighted to announce that Andy Pugh has signed a contract with Dartford for next season.

"Andy, who was on loan from Cambridge United for a short spell last season, will be a welcomed face here at Princes Park."

Pugh, who started his career at Gillingham, is best known in local circles for a successful spell at Welling. He scored 46 goals in 84 games with the Wings - a record that earned him a £15,000 move to Cambridge in January 2012. Pugh scored 13 goals in 52 appearances for Cambridge.
