Dartford goalkeeper Deren Ibrahim has conceded the quickest goal in World Cup qualifying history.

Ibrahim was making his debut for Gibraltar on Monday night as the minnows were crushed 6-0 at home to Belgium.

Christian Benteke scored past Ibrahim after just 8.1 seconds in the Group H match.

Crystal Palace striker Benteke beat the previous record of 8.3 seconds, set by San Marino's Davide Gualtieri against England in 1993.

Benteke went on to complete a hat-trick with Chelsea's Eden Hazard also on the scoresheet along with Axel Witsel and Dries Mertens.

Ibrahim was an unused substitute in Gibraltar's 4-0 defeat in Estonia on Friday.

The 25-year-old keeper, who has had loan spells at Sittingbourne, Margate, Maidstone and Tonbridge, is firmly established as Dartford's first-choice keeper and has made nearly 100 first-team appearances.

He will be back from international duty in time for the Darts' FA Cup fourth qualifying round trip to Tonbridge on Saturday.
