Police helicopter called in as officers chase car in St Vincent's Road, Dartford

Police are hunting two people who fled following a high-speed chase.

A spokesman said a vehicle in Hawley Road, Dartford, came to officers' attention at 2pm today.

When it failed to stop as requested, a pursuit was authorised and the force's helicopter called in.

The driver of the vehicle stopped about two and a half miles away in St Vincent's Road.

The spokesman said: "Two people decamped from the vehicle. Officers are carrying out inquiries to locate both the driver and passenger and remain in the area."
