Dartford have released midfielder Barry Cogan after an injury-hit season.

Cogan started just 12 league games for the Darts following his arrival last summer and manager Tony Burman has not offered him a new deal.

Three other players have been invited back to pre-season, meanwhile.

Centre-half Callum McNaughton, who missed the end of the season after fracturing a metatarsal, has accepted that offer but long-serving full-back Lee Burns is still making up his mind.

Former Ebbsfleet captain Paul Lorraine, who trained with the Darts towards the end of the season and played one game, is also considering Burman's invitation to return for pre-season.

Burman said: "At this moment in time, I am delighted that we have signed 11 players for the 2016/17 campaign.

"I have also been busy talking to potential targets to join the squad for next season.

"I will not be rushed into signing players just for the sake of it, as the people that I have signed at this moment in time gives me an excellent nucleus to start with."
