Dartford could welcome back Andy Pugh for their trip to Whitehawk on Wednesday.

The striker was absent on the opening day of the National South season as Darts were held to a 2-2 draw by Wealdstone at Princes Park.

Pugh's injury isn't serious, though, and he may be involved at the Enclosed Ground.

Dartford manager Tony Burman said: "Pughy took a knock in training on Thursday in his calf muscle. It swelled up and he wasn’t moving right on Saturday.

"He trained on Monday night so he should be added to the squad. It was disappointing for Pughy and for us but he could be OK for Wednesday night.

"Danny Harris did really well (up front) on Saturday. He put in a great shift yet again. We put their defenders under a lot of pressure and Danny did that."

Both sides are looking for their first win of the season. Whitehawk, beaten by Ebbsfleet in the play-offs last season, began their campaign with a 3-1 loss at Weston-super-Mare.

Burman said: "It’s going to be tough. They’ll want a reaction from their defeat on Saturday.

"Whitehawk’s a difficult place to go. There’s a massive slope on the pitch and you’ve got to go there in the right frame of mind. To be fair Whitehawk like to play football and get the ball down.

"I’m expecting a tough game but I’m hoping we can continue from Saturday’s performance and get something from there."

Elliot Bradbrook (ankle) will miss the game but Dartford have no other injury concerns.
