Richard Sho-Silva may have only played three games for Dartford – but he already feels at home at Princes Park.

The 25-year-old centre-back impressed in pre-season and was snapped up by Darts boss Tony Burman when Ronnie Vint picked up an opening-day injury.

"I love this club," said Sho-Silva, the older brother of Dover’s former Charlton and Welling forward Tobi. "I’ve played three games but I feel at home and comfortable.

"It’s local and the joy I get from playing here and being around the people is wonderful.

"The team are accepting, they are lovely lads. The management have been good and everyone is friendly.

"When I was here in pre-season, I was chatting to the fans and it’s a great club."

Sho-Silva was always keen to sign for Darts, despite not actually getting the deal done in pre-season due to personal issues.

"When you’re looking for a club it can be difficult," he said.

"You have to make sure you have everything in order, especially if it’s part-time level, in terms of jobs.

"So I was looking for that so I had some income to keep my car, buy petrol and everything.

"You have to take a seat back sometimes but I was always in communication with the manager and he knew what I was doing."

He added: "The key now is to play well, play for the team and pick up results.

"We just need to keep going and aim to keep as many clean sheets as possible."
