Welling's survival bid in the National League has been given a much-needed boost with their first signing of the January transfer window.

Underfire Wings boss Loui Fazakerley has signed Harry Lee on a permanent deal after two loan spells at Park View Road this season.

The 20-year-old has already made 22 starts and two substitute appearances for Welling.

He made seven substitute appearances during his time at Orient but has not featured for them this term, although he was an unused substitute against Staines in the FA Cup earlier this season.

His last Welling outing was in the 1-0 home defeat to Macclesfield before Christmas but he goes straight into the squad for Tuesday night's trip to fellow strugglers Torquay.
