A2 crash: police appeal for witnesses

A man and woman have suffered serious injuries in a crash on the A2 Adisham slip road, between Dover and Canterbury, this morning.

It happened at 8.20am on the coast-bound section of the slip road at the junction with the B2046 at Barham.

A white transit van and a black Hyundai Jetz were involved.

The driver of the van, a 52-year-old man, was taken to a London Hospital with injuries that are described as life-threatening.

The driver of the car, a woman in her 30s from Folkestone, was also taken to a London hospital. Her injures are also said to be serious but she is in a stable condition.

Detective Sergeant Scott Lynch said: "I would like to hear from anyone who witnessed this collision or may have seen the vehicles prior to the incident."
