Police investigating a domestic assault in Cannon Street, Deal at around 1 pm on Saturday, September 28, are appealing for witnesses.

The incident happened near to the Jolly Gardener pub at the junction with Golf Road.

A woman was in her Chrysler seven-seater car with a man who allegedly became violent.

It is understood some members of the public went over to the car to ask if everything was all right and police would like to hear from them.
