Man arrested after drugs found in car in Deal

A man remains in custody after officers found class A drugs in a car.

A driver of a vehicle failed to stop for police in Golf Road, Deal, at about 1.30am today.

Following a search of the area, police found the car in Peter Street and a 33-year-old of no fixed address was located nearby.

Police arrested a 33-year-old man

Officers then searched the vehicle in which they discovered drugs as well as an angle grinder, torch and mobile phone.

A spokesman said: "The man was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply, going equipped for theft and driving without insurance or a licence.

"He remains in police custody and enquiries are ongoing."
